This position requires mechanical, electrical, and network troubleshooting skills and the ability to work independently as well as in a team environment without direct supervision.
Commissioning Engineer 2 must follow designated installation procedures, checklists, and safety guidelines established for work areas. This position is required to work overtime, weekends, holidays, and have the ability to travel.
Experience:
- Minimum 2 years of technical (mechanical or electrical) experience
Semiconductor experience - SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS (TRAVEL, OVERTIME, physical demands, environment, ETC.)
- Required to wear a cleanroom uniform and personal protective equipment, and work at height and in confined spaces. Will work in office and fab settings.

Responsibilities:
- Perform equipment modifications and commissioning.
- Assist and provide on-the-job training to employees as well as to contractors or customers.
- Follow all safety and protocol guidelines and work with safety coordinators.
- Prepare daily paperwork including Pre-Task Plans, commissioning check sheets, and day end reporting.
- Troubleshoot and recover equipment errors.
- Read mechanical and electrical drawings, schematics, and diagrams.
- Load/install and analyze software and hardware.
- Conduct tool performance tests and verify results.
- Configure tools to specific customer demands.
- Communicate project progress, take direction from Project Manager, stay on schedule, and provide constructive feedback.
- Prioritize tasks based on the commissioning check sheets.
- Communicate work expectations with co-workers daily and interact with the customer regularly.

- Must be able to work under pressure of customer and Project Manager(s) to complete tasks under tight time frame

Education:
High School Diploma/Associate Degree in Technical (Mechanical or Electrical) field is a plus
