Catapult is looking for a versatile User Researcher to join our outstanding UX team in either the Beaverton, Oregon, or Denver, Colorado office.

Candidate profile

  • Curious and inquisitive UX researcher.
  • Excited to grow a UX research program to its full potential.
  • Experience handling research projects across multiple product spaces.
  • Comfortable with multiple UX research methodologies, and excited to learn new methods as needed.
  • A true “champion of the customer”, driven to develop insights that will make our customers’ work and lives better.

The Skills and Experience You’ll Bring

  • 3+ years related research experience.
  • Experience developing and running user interviews, usability tests, and standard surveys. Experience with additional methodologies is only a plus!
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, interpersonal and analytical skills.
  • Ability to prioritize research projects from multiple teams, and proactively identify opportunities for valuable UX research.
  • Ability to communicate complex concepts clearly.
  • Ability to use multiple different tools for UX research, to enable the multiple methodologies that will be used
  • A solid background in human focused research, through some combination of coursework or relevant experience. Able to critically think about behavioral data, its uses, and limitations. 

What You’ll Do

  • Use both quantitative and qualitative UX methods to uncover useful insights about our many user types.
  • Share user research findings in an easy to understand format.
  • Work in close collaboration with UX designers, the Head of UX, as well as cross functional team members to develop research that will inform product decisions and overall direction.
  • Work closely with UX and PM teams; use research methodologies to discover and validate user needs to highlight ways we can design our products to provide more value.
  • Gain actionable insights using multiple research methodologies such as user interviews, usability testing, and surveys. Or other reliable and innovative research methods that fit the question at hand.
  • Work at both strategic and tactical level in applying user research into the product development process.
  • Conduct both lab-based and remote testing, iterative concept, prototype testing, and present findings and recommendations.
  • Incorporate insights and collaborate with others in the larger data and insights ecosystem, such as behavioral data and usage analytics, to bolster your own research and further enable cross-functional teams.


  • Must be able to share a couple of case studies and relevant experiences that highlights the above skills.
