CAM Technician (on-site)

Description
The primary function of the CAM Technician is to process various different data formats of customer provided photomask data and specifications to create accurate plot files for our laser writers. The CAM Technician also occasionally coordinates pricing and shipping information with the customers and our internal accounting staff.

Responsibilities
• Respond to all customer requests promptly and professionally.
• Coordinate with customers to create accurate worksheets and quotes.
• Coordinate with customer and internal staff to ensure all mask specifications and shipping requirements are accurate.
• Coordinate with internal staff to order special materials or services for customer requests as required.
• Create and maintain data files for all customer requests.
• Use AutoCAD, DraftSight, LinkCAD, CAMMaster, Illustrator and other software tools to analyze, manipulate, and convert customer data files into plot files that meet both the customer requirements and the capabilities of our laser writing equipment.
• Develop and coordinate approval of PDF checkplot files. If checkplots are disapproved, work with customer to make corrections until approved.
• Coordinate with customer and/or internal accounting staff to ensure payment information is exchanged.
• Once payment is coordinated, convert checkplot file(s) into plot file(s) and move them to plotter(s).

Additional Responsibilities
• Provide oversight for each order to ensure the requested product is produced accurately
• Assist other team members when possible (such as packaging, cleanroom and billing inquiries).
• Provide input regarding ways to streamline internal processes to avoid duplicate, overlapping, or inefficient procedures/mistakes.
• Promote the business model when applicable ( I.E.. faster than normal turn around, cheaper pricing, More personalized Service, Poly Nano coating service, etc…).
