IT Site Lead- Systems Infrastructure
Position Summary / Job Summary

The IT Site Lead role will be responsible for leading and providing support for daily operations. This position calls for outstanding technical and communication skills and the ability to create, develop, maintain, configure, and install hardware, software, services, and procedures. Work with 3rd party vendors. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced growing company. The role is high visibility and customer touch, so an upbeat, positive attitude and a passion for delivering first-in-class IT services are essential to success.
MUST BE super comfortable on google workspace and office 365 administration + good with people

Responsibilities / Job Functions

  • Drive enhancements of IT departmental branch: end-user support by streamlining user’s request and interactions.
  • Develop and work with support team to deliver IT white-glove service.
  • Serve as escalation point for System Engineers.
  • Leveraging JIRA Service Desk (Ticketing) administer the documentation, tracking, monitoring, and reporting of all service desk requests and ensure resolution in a timely & efficient manner, ensuring minimal recurrence.
  • Implement best practices for endpoint management: build, upgrades, and upkeep of inventory for Windows and MacOS
  • Create an outline of hardware roadmap for system and mobile devices.
  • Support and troubleshoot company-provided smartphones and tablets utilizing Intune mobile device management.
  • Lead lab support by carrying out maintenance, swaps and upgrades of systems, instruments, equipment, and software.
  • Modernize onboarding process to deliver system readiness on day-one and refine off-boarding process.
  • Strategize changes, System administer, and support Google Workspace and Office 365 applications and services, including but not limited to Entra ID, Intune, Exchange, SharePoint, and Teams.
  • Create IT training with the goal to educate staff through training sessions on the effective use of IT systems, enhancing company-wide technological competence and security awareness.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve network, Wi-Fi, and VPN connectivity issues.
  • Develop, author, and update technical documentation, crafting detailed training guides and knowledge base articles with the goal on delivering monthly articles.
  • Administer video conferencing systems and equipment, ensuring reliable connectivity and quality for meetings, for Zoom and Teams (O365)
  • Participate in IT projects, aiding in the strategic deployment of new systems and technologies to advance organizational goals.

Minimum Education / Experience

  • Minimum of 8+ years of experience in a technical role.
  • Strong leader mindset and drive to seek solutions with little guidance or supervision.
  • Ability to develop and mentor junior staff.
  • Experience with PowerShell and/or MacOS Terminal is a plus.
  • Microsoft certification(s) a plus.
  • Demonstrated deep knowledge in Windows 10/11, macOS, Office 365, Okta, MS 365 suite, and video conferencing systems.
  • A strong understanding of endpoint management platforms and services, such as Microsoft Active Directory, Entra Active Directory, Microsoft Intune, and Autopilot.
  • Working knowledge and understanding of Microsoft Services such as DNS, DHCP, and file & print services.
  • Experience administering enterprise-grade AV (CrowdStrike)
  • Experience working with enterprise Mobile Device Management technologies such as O365 Intune.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with an emphasis on clear, concise technical documentation and customer service.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Familiarity with GxP (Good Practices) regulations in energy, pharmaceutical or similar industries.
  • B.S. in Computer Science, Software Engineering, MIS, or equivalent work experience.

OTHER:  The role calls for a 7:30am PST start time to aid supporting executive team and early morning meetings. Additionally, this role will be required to be on-site M-F and will evolve to one remote day a week as process and supports standardize, this as long as there is no impact to everyday support.
