Position Overview

The primary responsibility of the ServiceNow Service Owner will be to manage, maintain, develop, and implement ServiceNow solutions successfully.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain ServiceNow solutions that support IT service management processes.

  • Configure and maintain the ServiceNow CMDB, including defining and managing data structures, relationships, and dependencies.

  • Ensure data accuracy and completeness in the CMDB by conducting regular audits and reviews.

  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive inventory of service assets and configurations, including hardware, software, documentation, and licenses.

  • Define and maintain processes for the management of service assets and configurations, including acquisition, deployment, maintenance, and disposal.

  • Ensure that all assets and configurations are properly identified, recorded, and tracked throughout their lifecycle within the CMDB.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and prioritize CMDB requirements and implement necessary changes to support business needs.

  • Ensure that CMDB data is used effectively to support IT service management processes, such as incident management, change management, and asset management.

  • Ensure that all assets and configurations are secured and in compliance with regulatory standards and best practices.

  • Provide regular reporting and analysis of asset and configuration data to stakeholders.

  • Develop and maintain ServiceNow workflows, business rules, and UI policies to support business processes.

  • Provide technical guidance and support to other ServiceNow developers and stakeholders.

  • Stay up to date with new ServiceNow releases and features and recommend opportunities for process improvements and automation.

  • Perform job duties in a safe manner.

  • Attend work as scheduled on a consistent and regular basis.

  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Proof of authorization to work in the United States.

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain any certification or license, as required by law or policy.

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field

  • 5+ years of experience in ServiceNow development and configuration management

  • Strong technical skills in ServiceNow, including experience with CMDB, workflows, business rules, and UI policies.

  • Demonstrated experience with ITIL best practices and service management processes.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders across all levels of the organization.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) and Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) certifications preferred.

  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English, both in spoken and written form.

  • Physically access assigned workspace areas with or without reasonable accommodation.

  • Work remotely as necessary.

  • Work indoors and be exposed to various environmental factors such as, but not limited to, CRT, noise, and dust.
